Testimonials

“We wanted to thank Boronia House staff and management for the care given to our Mum, Lola Hooley since moving into Boronia wing in August 2021. We were was especially grateful for the additional medical care given to her in the last 2-3 months of her life as her health rapidly declined, we appreciate all that was done to make our mother's final weeks dignified, peaceful and pain free especially in her last days. From the RN's, nurses, personal care givers, to the cleaning staff and support staff, it was such a professional, but still very friendly place. Unfortunately, because of Mum's blindness she could not take part in a lot of the activities, but still made a lot of lovely lasting friendships with other residents and some staff. We feel so thankful to have found Boronia House available when Mum needed to go into care, as soon as we walked through the doors over a year and a half ago, we knew she would be comfortable and well cared for. Everyone always made us; the family feel so welcome and staff were so approachable. So, thanks to each one of the team past and present who were involved in the care of our beloved Mum during her time there she will be truly missed.”

“A quick note to express our gratitude for the care given to our Mother, Judith Allsopp, over the past 6 years whilst she has lived in Wattle Wing, Room 43, at Boronia House. We will be most grateful if our thanks could be passed on to all Staff of Wattle Wing, particularly Sister Krippa and Sister Mercy. In one of the final days of Mum's life one of the staff of Wattle Wing mentioned that she had spent some time sitting with Mum in the dark hours. To hear this was very humbling and heart-warming. We know there will have been many, many other such examples of humanity and care demonstrated and for these we are truly grateful.”

“My name is Kim Stein and I am the daughter of Anna Boersma. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your wonderful staff for the care of my mum. Mum was lucky enough to spend two years in the Wattle wing of Boronia House St Marys. In this time mum received such great care and love by all your dedicated and wonderful nurses and she as well as my dad Casey Boersma and I will always be so grateful. You are certainly very special people and we could not imagine what our lives would have been like for the past two years without you all. The staff on the front desk and at the covid testing stations were alway friendly and lovely, and all the people behind the scenes, we really appreciate everything that you do. And most importantly the staff in wattle who are like family to us and will always be in our wonderful memories of my mums life. I don’t want to name these wonderful people in fear of leaving someone out, because we are so grateful to all of you. I thank you all again and you should be so proud to run such a wonderful home for so many people who need your care. All our love and best wishes to you all”

“I would like to thank Boronia House for the loving care provided to my late mother over the past three and a half years. Without this care, her life would have been less joyous. Boronia House staff have worked through exceptional circumstances through this covid period and I can not thank them all enough. The Registered Nurses in Boronia Wing; Gaurav, Penjit and Anisha really looked after mum well and were extremely good at communicating with me. I know she liked them all a lot. Vicki excelled with her covid hairstyling which mum reckons was just as good as a professional cut. Ellen was very responsive in following up any issues I raised. ”

Dion Bailey – family

“I am so happy here. I look forward to waking up in the morning as breakfast is the best meal of the day for me. I love that I have choices. ”
