Testimonials

“I would like to congratulate Thompson Health Care on building this aged care facility in Mona Vale. It has top quality rooms and workable dining and lounge rooms, so it never feels like there are 48 residents here. Seven months ago, when we asked our family doctor to recommend an aged care facility on the Northern Beaches, he had no hesitation in recommending Darley House. My thoughts on ever going to a nursing home were negative, however after a couple of falls at home and away from home and with my wife not being able to lift me, we realised that I needed professional care and with the progression of Parkinson’s, falls are most likely to increase. I would like to say a special thank you to the nurses who work here. You are so kind and supportive and always have a smile while providing 24-hour service. Recently my wife was booked to go to hospital for a full knee replacement and we had a predicament of who could look after ‘Lilly’ our 8-year-old cavoodle. To our surprise the wonderful lady on reception Jelina kindly offered to take care of her after work and through to the next morning for which we are most appreciative. Jelina helped us for some two weeks, Lilly will never forget her. Thanks also to our Director of Nursing Jessie who does a wonderful job, she is always happy & smiling and helping staff and her door is always open residents.”

“Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather was hospitalized for almost four months due to severe health decline. The hospital could not discharge him without 24/7 care. After being referred to Oran Park House, we immediately felt comforted by the staff and the calm environment. Now, four months later, we are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and support provided by the staff. They go above and beyond, creating a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful rooms, gardens, and a welcoming cafe. We truly appreciate the high-quality care our loved one continues to receive.”

The Wagg Family

“I’ve been a resident of Oran Park House since it first opened, and I’m grateful for the exceptional care I’ve received. My daughter found this place for me, and it’s become my new family. The 24-hour medical care, exercise programs, friendly company, and great food have made all the difference in my happiness and well-being. I’m proud to call it home.”

James Young: Resident of Oran Prak House

“Thompson Health Care Oran Park is a true FAMILY, providing compassionate, round-the-clock care. Our parents have been residents since day one, and the care has remained exceptional, whether it's day or night. The food is restaurant-quality, and the staff's dedication is unwavering. We’ve seen firsthand how every detail, from comfort to the Friday happy hour, is thoughtfully managed. While we will one day say goodbye, we take comfort knowing our parents have had the best possible care.”

Kings and McLean Family

“We wanted to thank Boronia House staff and management for the care given to our Mum, Lola Hooley since moving into Boronia wing in August 2021. We were was especially grateful for the additional medical care given to her in the last 2-3 months of her life as her health rapidly declined, we appreciate all that was done to make our mother's final weeks dignified, peaceful and pain free especially in her last days. From the RN's, nurses, personal care givers, to the cleaning staff and support staff, it was such a professional, but still very friendly place. Unfortunately, because of Mum's blindness she could not take part in a lot of the activities, but still made a lot of lovely lasting friendships with other residents and some staff. We feel so thankful to have found Boronia House available when Mum needed to go into care, as soon as we walked through the doors over a year and a half ago, we knew she would be comfortable and well cared for. Everyone always made us; the family feel so welcome and staff were so approachable. So, thanks to each one of the team past and present who were involved in the care of our beloved Mum during her time there she will be truly missed.”

“A quick note to express our gratitude for the care given to our Mother, Judith Allsopp, over the past 6 years whilst she has lived in Wattle Wing, Room 43, at Boronia House. We will be most grateful if our thanks could be passed on to all Staff of Wattle Wing, particularly Sister Krippa and Sister Mercy. In one of the final days of Mum's life one of the staff of Wattle Wing mentioned that she had spent some time sitting with Mum in the dark hours. To hear this was very humbling and heart-warming. We know there will have been many, many other such examples of humanity and care demonstrated and for these we are truly grateful.”

“My name is Kim Stein and I am the daughter of Anna Boersma. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your wonderful staff for the care of my mum. Mum was lucky enough to spend two years in the Wattle wing of Boronia House St Marys. In this time mum received such great care and love by all your dedicated and wonderful nurses and she as well as my dad Casey Boersma and I will always be so grateful. You are certainly very special people and we could not imagine what our lives would have been like for the past two years without you all. The staff on the front desk and at the covid testing stations were alway friendly and lovely, and all the people behind the scenes, we really appreciate everything that you do. And most importantly the staff in wattle who are like family to us and will always be in our wonderful memories of my mums life. I don’t want to name these wonderful people in fear of leaving someone out, because we are so grateful to all of you. I thank you all again and you should be so proud to run such a wonderful home for so many people who need your care. All our love and best wishes to you all”

“I would like to thank Boronia House for the loving care provided to my late mother over the past three and a half years. Without this care, her life would have been less joyous. Boronia House staff have worked through exceptional circumstances through this covid period and I can not thank them all enough. The Registered Nurses in Boronia Wing; Gaurav, Penjit and Anisha really looked after mum well and were extremely good at communicating with me. I know she liked them all a lot. Vicki excelled with her covid hairstyling which mum reckons was just as good as a professional cut. Ellen was very responsive in following up any issues I raised. ”

“I am so happy here. I look forward to waking up in the morning as breakfast is the best meal of the day for me. I love that I have choices. ”

Marie – resident

“My son rings daily and always asks how my day was. I tell him that it was full of enjoyable surprises because something different happens every day. ”

“Now that the events surrounding Dad’s passing are largely behind us, it is a time for reflection on his life – the times that we shared and those people who were important in his life. As we do so, we are aware of the importance of the team at Turramurra House who cared for him so well and with such kindness for 3½ years that he lived with you. Dad was treated with great courtesy always by name, truly living up to your motto that “Residents do not live in our facility, we work in their homes”. There are too many over the time to be able to thank them individually and I would ask that you would thank them all on my behalf. Particularly I would like to thank those who looked after both Dad and the Family in his final few days and nights. We are deeply moved! ”

Gail – family

“How can we begin to thank each and every one of you for all the care, support and love that you give mum? We know how happy mum is living there with the many wonderful residents and staff. It is just like a second home not only to mum, but us as well. Thank you again for all your kindness. Much love. ”

Marianne – family

“Thompson Health Care has solved the problem of growing old for me.”

Olive – resident

“We cannot thank you enough for all your help. You took the burden off our shoulders helping us navigate through all the paperwork and just “being there” at a time when relatives feel so vulnerable was wonderful. Many thanks for making a potentially difficult time a positive experience for all of us. Your care, commitment and friendly approach was greatly valued by mum and ourselves. Moving mum into aged care was a difficult decision, but now I am so pleased and relieved to see her so happy receiving the best of care. We know it is the best place we could have chosen. Warmest regards and thanks to all. ”

Sally – family

“Mum’s last months were so caring and peaceful for her. This was due to the wonderful care, attention and affection provided to her from your staff. I am so grateful to you all. The peace of mind I received from Mum being in your care was immeasurable. Thank you for loving my mother and caring for her the way we could have only hoped for. My eternal thanks. ”
