Our Donation Helping Communities Recover from Devastating Nepal Floods

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far to our Nepal Floods Appeal.

The Australian Red Cross has shared an update on how the funds raised through our appeal are helping communities affected by the devastating floods in Nepal.

As of 18 September 2026, the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement has reached 37,378 people through its emergency response, with our contribution helping support vital relief efforts including:

  • 37,378 people assisted through emergency response activities
  • 21,171 people provided with water, sanitation and hygiene items
  • 62 helicopter missions delivering essential relief supplies to hard-to-reach communities
  • 9,801 people supported with emergency shelter assistance, including tarpaulins, blankets and other essential items

Beyond immediate relief, our support is also helping families begin the difficult process of recovery, with emergency cash assistance, health services and family reunification efforts reaching those most affected.

Our Thompson community making a difference

At Thompson Health Care, we are incredibly proud of the response from our community. Our staff, residents, families and friends coming together to support the Nepal flood appeal.

The scale of the devastation in Nepal has been immense, but these figures show the real difference that collective support can make. From providing clean water and essential hygiene supplies to delivering emergency shelter and relief supplies to communities that are difficult to reach, our contribution is helping people through an extraordinarily difficult time.

We are grateful to everyone across the Thompson Health Care community who supported our appeal and helped us make this contribution possible.

And we thank the Australian Red Cross and Red Cross Red Crescent Movement for the vital work they continue to do on the ground in Nepal, supporting communities not only through the immediate emergency, but as they begin the long road to recovery.

There is still time to help

Our Nepal Floods Appeal remains open, so if you would like to make a contribution, there is still time to help support communities affected by the floods.
