An introduction to Avalon House

Set in bushland surrounds, close to the sea, Avalon House Nursing Home provides 80 residents with luxury accommodation in a distinctive home like setting.

Quality furnishing and fittings provide the residents of Avalon House with a comfortable and distinguished home. Large individual and shared rooms are available, all with ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning and flat screen televisions.

In addition, Avalon House has a coffee shop offering indoor and outdoor seating, many lounge and dining room areas and outdoor balconies and courtyards where residents can entertain their family and friends, simply relax, or participate in one of the many activities. Computers complete with internet access are also available for residents to utilise.

Avalon House offers a variety care to cater for residents including a specialised dementia care in a secure unit. Residents are assured that although their needs may change, their place of residence need not. Further, couples with different care needs can continue their lives together, under the one roof.

All residents pay a daily fee including the basic fee.
Permanent residents also pay a deposit, paid either as a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) or
an additional Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) or
a combination of both RAD and DAP.
Any outstanding bond amount will accrue interest at the Maximum
Permissable Interst Rate (MPIR) applicable at the time of permanent admission.
Any amount paid as a RAD is government guaranteed and
is refunded to the resident as per the Permanent Agreement
