To provide greater support to our existing nursing team at Bowral House Nursing Home, Thompson Health Care are seeking a Nursing Assistant on a casual basis with a view to be made permanent. There are morning and afternoon shifts available on both weekdays and weekends.

Bowral House offers quality residential aged care to 71 residents and the successful candidate will work with a supportive nursing team led by Director of Nursing Collette Beaufils to oversee the care of the residents. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual who shares our passion for providing excellent care to all our residents.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have minimum 1 year experience in aged care
  • Have Certificate III in Nursing
  • Strive for excellence in customer service and care
  • Have an interest in working with the elderly
The successful candidate will receive training and support to ensure that they meet the Thompson Health Care standards and be provided a supportive, welcoming work environment.

    About the Role

    Thompson Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse on a casual basis with a view to being made permanent. There are morning, afternoon and night shifts available over both weekday and weekends.

    This is an ideal role for a Registered Nurse looking to work in a supportive and welcoming environment and to assist with providing the highest level of care to our residents.

    Duties

  • Ensure the highest clinical and resident care to meet the resident’s individual needs and enhance quality of life
  • Ensure resident care and treatment is documented to meet regulatory requirements
  • Communicate effectively with residents, medical practitioners, allied health professionals and relatives
  • Provide leadership and supervision of other nursing staff
  • Skills and Experience

  • Current registration with AHPRA, preferably 5 years or more in an aged care setting
  • Knowledge of ACFI documentation preferred

    Thompson Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a permanent part- time position on Monday, Thursday and Friday with shifts between 9-5:30 pm. The successful candidate will work alongside our Director of Nursing and Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide quality care for 20 residents.

    Milford House Nursing Home is a boutique Home which has 45 beds and is led by Director of Nursing, Suzanne Hobart along with her dedicated and supportive nursing team.

    Duties

    About the Role

    Thompson Health Care is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate for our Recreational Activities Coordinator position. This is a fantastic role which involves the planning and running of the lifestyle program and working with our dedicated Recreational team. The role is a permanent 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with the hours being 9:30- 5 pm.

    We are looking for someone who is passionate about aged care and has the ability to bring out the best in our team and residents. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives on keeping active, enjoys interacting with people and being creative.

    Duties:

  • Help create, plan and organise the Recreational programs for the Home and running of activities with consideration given to including dementia specific care
  • Coordinate the administrative duties within the Recreational team including resident documentation (assessments), booking entertainment, writing quarterly newsletters and managing monthly budget
  • Leading the Recreational team encouraging a supportive and cohesive work environment
  • Skills and Experience:

  • Cert IV in Leisure and Health essential
  • Diversional Therapy qualification highly desirable
  • Previous experience leading a team preferred
  • Have experience in planning and organising and coordinating recreation activities for residents including bus trips, afternoon teas and group activities
  • Have a passion and genuine care for elderly
  • Strong interpersonal skills, delegating tasks and excellent customer service skills

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about caring for the elderly and would like to further develop themselves. It is a permanent part-time position offering 20 hours a fortnight with Wednesday’s a must but flexibility offered for other days dependent on the successful candidate.

    WSeabeach Gardens Nursing Home is a 30 bed home, led by Director of Nursing, Michelle Ossington. The successful candidate will work closely with the dedicated nursing team to provide a high standard of care to the residents.

    Duties:

  • Provide quality care according to the current Resident Care Plan to meet the individuals needs and enhance quality of life
  • Liaise with physiotherapist to discuss resident care
  • Contribute to care plans and completion of documentation
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with the DON, RN and fellow staff
  • Promote harmony and foster teamwork in a caring environment
  • Skills and Experience:

  • Have minimum 2 years’ experience working as a physio aid
  • Physiotherapy aid certificate is highly desired
  • Have Certificate III or Certificate IV in Nursing
  • Strive for excellence in customer service and care
  • Knowledge of ACFI documentation or willing to learn
